OOOOOOHA

LOL. Happy Gawai to all the Dayaks in Sarawak, since there are no Dayaks in the west. My Gawai was kinda fun and guess what? My village longhouse had been upgraded over the past few months! And now it's all cement and tiles. Yay! I went to Suai on the 1st of June (Tuesday) at around 10 or 9 something in the morning. Daddy drove fast at about 140kmh. I felt like flying lah. Hahaha. Reached there at 12 noon. Went I went in the sitting room, OMG. Everyone, yeah I mean EVERYONE was still sleeping on the floor! It was like a room full of sleeping people, as if they were drunk.

Only my cousins Michelle and Stephane were awake then. Smua muka emo emo bah. Hahahaha. Heran saya. Then Michelle said "WE DIDN'T SLEEP THE WHOLE NIGHT" with her muka sembelit. HAHAHAHAHA. So I went to the kitchen and Sharon was helping mum to cook. And I joined them. Wasn't feeling tired and hot yet. But as the day went away, I felt really tired...

Met my new nephew! Awww he's so cute and cuddly :D His name is Momel Jawi. So like my cousins called him MJ. LOL. Never cries like any babies do. As usual, all the indu dara chit chat about our lives. And then suddenly Sharon wanted me to join the ngajat later at night. I told her I can't cause I'll be leaving, so you go ahead la. Too bad I missed the lumba rakit that morning. Lumba lari relay pun tertangguh cause it was raining heavilly in the evening.

At 5pm Sharon and I went to the river to take bath! Woohooo! Celap aik nyak wai. Hahahaha. And we talk to some of the women there, they asked lots of questions la.

The program starts at 8pm and Sharon needs makeup and hair dressing, so I did her makeup and hair :D hehehe. She turned into this beautiful ice queen. And cousin Hollis pon mauk ikut makeup jugak. Rubbed some blusher on his cheeks. Apuuuu. Alu bangga nya bah! Hahahaha. After ngajat would be Kumang and Keling, Ptandingan Pondan and Tomboy. LOL. Nice nice niceee! But too bad I don't get to watch all those cause I would be on my way down to Miri.

After makeup, I teached her some ngajat steps and what not. Then I left the kampung at 9 pm. Reached Miri at 11 something. And that's it! I missed the program! At first I thought that those things were on Gawai Eve. But maybe they changed the schedule. But overall, I enjoyed myself at the kampung. Hope to come back again next Gawai! :D
